The Institute of International Business Law and
Practice, established in 1979 and based in Paris, is chaired by Professor
Pierre Lalive of the University of Geneva. Its Academic Council is made up
of some 40 eminent lawyers and legal practitioners from all part of the
world.
The Institute’s main objective are to foster wider knowledge and
the development of the law and practice of international business – through
close cooperation and discussion between practitioner and scholars and
through training and research – both in “traditional fields” such as
international contract and arbitration and the emerging domains of law
created by new technologies and new commercial activities.
