ICC India hosts ICC Governing Body Meetings in New Delhi

ICC India hosted the ICC Governing Body Meetings in New Delhi after a gap of 19 years. The ICC Delegation to these important meetings was led by Mr Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman, International Chamber of Commerce and included senior business leaders from the world over.

Besides, the World Chambers Federation Steering Committee also met on November 29 under the Chairmanship of Mr Rona Yircal, Chairman, World Chambers Federation to discuss topical issues of importance to business and chamber officials.

During his visit to New Delhi, Mr Marcus Wallenberg called on the Hon’ble Prime of India, Dr Manmohan Singh and Mr Kamal Nath, Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry to emphasise the need to restart the stalled Doha Round Negotiations.

Taking advantage of the presence of prominent ICC leaders, ICC India, in association with FICCI organized three seminars on topical subjects of “Commercial Arbitration” - International and Indian Scenario , “India in the World Economy” and “Fighting Counterfieiting and Piracy”.
