Certified Documentary Credit Specialist Exam in India 10 April, 2008 - Mumbai & Chennai As you may be aware, that the Institute of Financial Services (IFS) and the International Financial Services Association (IFSA) regularly conduct the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) Examination with a view to improving the knowledge of practitioners of the instruments of letters of credit and understanding of the complex issues associated therewith, enhance their career prospects, increase their expertise and professional value. The examination is endorsed by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris. This year the examination was held at Mumbai & Chennai on April 12, 2007. Around 179 candidates from different Banks and Industry appeared for the examination. The next year's Examination will be held on April 10, 2008 in Mumbai and Chennai. Exact venues would be intimated to you in due course. It will be in the form of a three-hour multiple choice examination, preparations for which can be done using a detailed study text to be provided by the IFS, UK. There is no eligibility requirement i.e. no prior qualifications are required. You can also download the Form from our website www.iccindiaonline.org I am delighted to inform you that on our request, IFS has decided a discount of 59 Pounds to the candidates from India. The registration fee for the examination for Indian candidates will be 386 Pounds (336 + 50 Pounds international booking fee). The registration deadline for the examination is January 31, 2008. This, as you will appreciate, will certainly be a good opportunity for all those engaged in the letters of credit practice to upgrade their knowledge and expertise and will be good value addition. As mentioned above, the last date for registration is January 31, 2008. Interested persons may, therefore, send their registration forms, duly filled in, at the earliest so as to reach the Institute of Financial Services, Canterbury, Kent, UK before the above deadline.
